![]() What Are the Best Resources for the Step 2? ![]() This exam alerts residency program directors to a student’s abilities and deficiencies in clinical practice. Those from newer, smaller, or international schools may not have received significant hands-on clinical training in medical school. Unlike the USMLE Step 1, this board exam focuses on clinical sciences. Trust me, with the right practice you can complete each block in the given hour! This gives you an average of 80 seconds per question. There are 8 blocks and 40 questions per set. The test consists of a one-day, 9-hour examination and usually is harder than the remaining stage examinations. How Many Questions are on the USMLE Step 2? Similar to our Step 1 Qbank review, we will review the prices, differentiating features, and content covered in some of the most popular question banks on the market! To start, let’s make sure we know what we’re up against. I've heard of people scoring 240-250 using either Kaplan or World alone.Your USMLE Step 2 CK is getting closer! But don’t worry, we’re here to show you how to select a question bank to best prepare. The explanations on Kaplan are better than USMLE world, but the question format of USMLE world is more accurate and I would rely on World more heavily. USMLE Step 2 score was 260+, up about 15 points from step I Then did 800 Qs from USMLE WORLD focusing on weak areas (World allows you to do this much better than Kaplan). THen did 250 Qs off Kaplan Bank- I thought the explanations were excellent and continued to rebuild knowledge base. Then I tried one test from another popular question book (called NMS? or something) and thought it was a waste of time, scored ~70% The Q's build your knowledge base and the explanations are excellent. I started off with Kaplan Q-book and did at least one test from each section (Peds, OBGyn, IMed, etc), score 60-70%. I would dump Crush if you have a reason to nail StepII.įor question cramming on 2 weeks study time: I used First Aid (though it's long and boring, in dire need of reformatting) and tidbits from Secrets which does an excellent job to fill in gaps. ![]()
